Are you a mama to multiples with birthdays around the same time? If so, this blog might just be for you because today we are breaking down tips for hosting a joint birthday party!
Sometimes, planning a joint birthday party just makes sense. Whether you have two children with birthdays that are close together, your children are twins, or maybe your child has a friend who they want to have a party with, a joint birthday could be the way to go!! Whatever your reason is for combining your kiddo’s birthday party celebration with another child’s (whether it is yours or not), there are many different things to consider when planning a joint party. Here’s some of my favorite tips:
Celebrate alone too
This doesn’t have to be on the party day, but it’s worth it to take some time when you can to celebrate just that child by themselves to make sure they still feel special!
Plan the party size
Many times with a joint birthday party that means more guests so it’s important to plan accordingly. Make sure wherever you plan to host the party has room for the amount of guests you’ll need to invite!
Get 2 cakes
This is a super simple way to make each child feel individually special at the joint party. You can make sure their cake is custom to what they like and they each get to blow out their own candles!
Cater to different ages
Lots of times, joint birthday parties are for kids of different ages so, make sure, when planning that you are catering to both age groups that will be there to ensure there is something for everyone!
